Rebrief.
The weekly briefing of your own bookmarks

Your bookmarks come back to you.

You save smart things and never see them again. Rebrief reads every bookmark — threads, articles, even the infographics — and delivers your weekly Rebrief: what each save is about, and the one takeaway worth remembering.

Real output — records from an actual briefing

Rebrief · specimen records generated locally · gemma-26B · vision on

A one-page cheat card benchmarking 12 RAG chunking strategies on long-document QA, with recall scores for each.

Section-aware chunking — the header embedded in every chunk — beat fixed-size windows on every long-doc benchmark.

BLD@vector_notesIMG — read from the infographic itself

A thread on how KV-cache, prefill-vs-decode, and context management actually drive LLM latency and cost.

Most "slow model" problems are decode-bound — batch and cache before you reach for a bigger GPU.

LRN@lowlevel_mlARTICLE — linked write-up fetched

A teardown of a sub-$300 espresso grinder mod that adds PID temperature control for café-grade shots at home.

The single-dose mod matters more than the machine — grind consistency is 80% of the cup.

How it works

1

Harvest

A userscript collects your X bookmarks in your own browser — full history, no API, no login handover. Browser bookmarks work too; YouTube is next.

2

Decode

Every save gets read — linked articles fetched, threads followed, infographics actually read by vision — then summarized with its key takeaway and classified by why you saved it.

3

Return

A weekly briefing lands as one self-contained file you own — themed, searchable, filterable. Duplicates merged. New saves flagged. Works offline forever.

03

Organized by why you saved it

LRN — LEARN

Things you saved to understand. Each arrives pre-digested with its lesson.

BLD — BUILD

Projects and tools you meant to try. Surface them when you have a free weekend.

REF — REFERENCE

Docs and cheatsheets. Findable in one search when you finally need them.

BUY — BUY

Things you were deciding on. No more re-finding that grinder deal.

SDY — SOMEDAY

The long-reads pile — with summaries, so you know which are worth the time.

INS — INSPIRATION

The sparks. Kept visible instead of buried 400 bookmarks deep.

04

Local-first, actually

No account. No cloud.

Harvesting runs in your browser. Enrichment runs on your machine with a local model (LM Studio / Ollama) — or your own Claude key if you want maximum quality. Either way, we never see your bookmarks.

You own the artifact

Each briefing is one self-contained HTML file. No server, no subscription needed to open it. Archive it, share it, grep it in ten years.

Analyse deeper when you want

Every record has an Analyse action that hands it to Claude for a deep dive — and an MCP server is coming so Claude Desktop can search your whole saved history.

Escape hatches everywhere

Plain JSON in, Markdown + HTML out. Send records to Notion, drop calendar reminders, or pipe the data anywhere. No lock-in by design.

Pricing when it ships: the core stays free (local model, full pipeline). Pro — scheduled weekly briefings, Claude-quality decoding, Notion sync — around $6/mo. A limited founding lifetime license will exist. Waitlist gets first access.
